"When we married in 2004, we purchased a rustic little farm right in the heart of Suwanee. While we loved the "feel" of our property, we immediately began modernizing and brightening the home inside and out. The last big project was to tie the landscape of the front and back yards to the new look of the house.

We knew the landscape needed to maintain a warm, country look to meld with the pastures, woods and two small barns. We also knew low maintenance was a top priority as well. Still, to achieve the simple, welcoming look we wanted, there were some big projects to tackle. A few very large pine trees had to come down; a large retaining wall needed to be replaced; the front yard had to be leveled; old brick and sidewalks would have to be removed, and then there was the design of the new landscape of course.

The very first step, however, was selecting a landscape design company who would listen to our ideas, make appropriate suggestions, and tell us why something would or would not work on our particular property.

Truthfully, we had only a couple of brief phone conversations with other companies. Ours is a unique property, and we needed a landscape designer with an imagination. That turned out to be Thomas Boyce and his staff at Innovative Outdoors LLC.

The design process was fun and informative. Within a couple of days they delivered a large design map of our proposed plantings and hardscape. Although there was a lot of work ahead, we began to get very excited about the project.

Often, with large projects the initial enthusiasm wanes as it progresses. That never happened in our relationship with Innovative Outdoors. The work crews showed up when Thomas said they would and did the quality work he promised. If we had a question or a concern it was addressed in a timely manner and to our satisfaction. The line of communication that was so important to us as homeowners never faltered or failed.

It was so much fun each morning to look out the window and see the creative crews at work as the landscape around our home was transformed. The project went so well, as a matter of fact, that we added a couple more major changes. We love how our new landscape completes the look of our beautiful home. We enjoy it even more, because we had the privilege of working with a talented, ethical company.
